Gradwells mark half century of marriage

THE Bluff’s Mike and Lyn Gradwell celebrated half-a-century of matrimonial merriment on Friday, 27 March.

The Gradwells have celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss.

The couple meet more than 50 years ago when Lyn from Umbilo attended Windermere High School and Mike from Rossburgh was a motor mechanic. After many years of dating they married in 1965 and relocated to the Bluff.

Throughout their marriage, the pair have shared a passion for gardening, which they continue to enjoy together now that their children are grown and have children of their own.

Mike’s fervour for motor racing and Lyn’s love of working with children allowed them to live full lives, following their dreams and after 50 years, they remain happily wed and look forward to one day greeting their first great grandchild.
