A GUARD hut was demolished and three people were injured when a truck and car collided on Bayhead Road at about 8pm on Monday, 18 May.
The crash happened at the intersection of Bayhead and Rotterdam Roads, causing the truck to careen into a fence and smash a guard hut alongside the road.
Rescue Care paramedics treated the guard, who had a lucky escape with only minor injuries. They stabilised the two occupants of the car, both of whom were badly injured and transported them to hospital for further care.
