SPF joins residents to clear bush

YELLOWWOOD Park and Woodhaven sector policing forum (SPF) joined residents of Woodhaven in starting to clear the bush at the corner of Tern Wey and Finfoot Street to make the area safer for residents homes and people walking in the area.
SPF chairman Chris van den Berg echoed the words of the residents that although the public pay rates and it is the city’s responsibility to clear the bush and keep it clear. “We are not prepared to wait until the muggings get out of hand and there is a rise in housebreaking again. We are here and we will take responsibility for our own safety and that of our community. We will be back in full force on Saturday, 30 May to finish up the work. We encourage residents of Woodhaven to come out in numbers to lend a hand. We will start at 8am,” said Van Den Berg.
