A CRASH at the intersection of Solomon Mahlangu Drive (Edwin Swales VC) and Flower Road at about 9am on Saturday, 4 July left three people injured, one critically so.
According to Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson paramedics found two vehicles had collided, with the driver of one car critically injured and trapped inside the wreckage. “Advanced life support paramedics climbed inside the wreckage and stabilised the man by placing him on a manual ventilator while the Durban Fire Department cut him free,” said Jamieson.
Once stabilised and free, he was taken to a nearby hospital as were two people from the other vehicle, who sustained minor injuries.
