Rear-end taxi crash leaves 30 injured
Firemen used jaws of life to cut man free from one taxi in M4 southbound crash

THIRTY people were injured when two taxis collided on the M4 southbound near the M7 off-ramp just after 2.30pm yesterday (Thursday, 16 July).
Responding Rescue Care paramedics found chaos at the scene, after the rear-end crash. Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise a man entrapped in the front seat of one of the taxis before the Durban Fire Department used the jaws of life to free him.
More ambulances were called to assist in treating and transporting the injured to hospital.
