SATURDAY, 8 AUGUST: Oldfield Service Centre hosts a fete at 8am at Tafta Park, Bellair. They urge the public to hire tables to exhibit goods. For more details, call organiser Mary Fouche on 031-465-9268.

 

THURSDAY, 13 AUGUST: KwaZulu-Natal branch of the South African Military History Society meets at 7pm for 7.30pm at the Murray Lecture Theatre, Department of Civil Engineering, UKZN Howard College campus. Speakers will be Jesse Wesseloo on ‘The World of Admiral de Ruyter’ and Stephen Coan on ‘The Great Escape: The South African Connection’. SATURDAY, 1 AUGUST: St George’s Presbyterian Church, situated on the corner of Admiral and Wellfreer Roads, Bluff, hosts a fete between 9am and 2.30pm. Join in for morning tea with scrumptious cream scones, muffins or cake. Breyani and boerewors rolls will also be available. Browse among the various stalls while the children enjoy games and tombola. All welcome.

 

SATURDAY, 8 AUGUST: PR Pather Secondary in Merebank’s class of 1985 hosts a 30th reunion dinner at 7pm at the Coastlands Hotel in Umhlanga.
