Another sweet surprise for new moms
New mothers were given support and essential items.
MOTHERS at Wentworth Hospital were given a helping hand, courtesy of Angels of Mercy and House Of Love And Hope (Holah) on Thursday, 23 July.
Through the ongoing work of Angels of Mercy director, Pat Bayley, new mothers at Wentworth Hospital are given support and essential items. This time, Holah, an NPO that provides a safe home to babies awaiting adoption, came onboard to lend a hand.
Holah founders, Leanne Lorrance and Kim Brown, together with volunteers collected blankets, toiletries, nappies, creams, baby powder and other vital items from local communities with which to surprise the mothers in the maternity ward.
“It is a great feeling to know a few babies will have a good start in life,” said Brown. “Just seeing the smiles on their faces, is an amazing feeling,” added Lorrance.

“These women are so grateful for the little we are able to give them and I am thankful to the people who helped do this,” she said.
Tholakela Masondo, who gave birth to baby girl, Azande on Monday, 20 July, said she had not expected anything like this and called it a nice gesture.
