DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club will visit Bluff Nature Reserve on Saturday, 8 August.

Hikers are to meet in the reserve’s parking area at 1.45pm, which is in Tara Road. This will be a short hike through the reserve and surrounding area. Take the Jacobs off-ramp (exit 7) from the M4 southern freeway. Turn seaward at the traffic lights into Quality Street. Follow this road to Tara Road, and turn left into it. The reserve is on the immediate right hand side of the road.
This hike is graded two, moderate.
On Sunday, 9 August of the long weekend, enjoy a 10km Scottburgh beach hike. Call hike leader Francois Marias on 083-983-8007. Hikers will depart at 8.30am to Umkomaas lighthouse and back. Meet at Charles Hoffe Park Holiday Resort in Link Road, Scottburgh, which is about 180m away from Cutty Sark Hotel. Hikers will enjoy lunch at the hotel afterwards, at noon. This hike is graded two, moderate.
