SATURDAY, 8 AUGUST: Merebank’s PR Pather Secondary class of 1985 hosts a 30th reunion dinner at 7pm at the Coastlands Hotel in Umhlanga. They invite all ex-pupils from 1980-1985 to attend. THURSDAY, 13 AUGUST: KZN branch of the South African Military History Society meets at 7pm for 7.30pm at the Murray lecture theatre, department of civil engineering, UKZN Howard College campus. Speakers will be Jesse Wesseloo on ‘The world of Admiral de Ruyter’ and Stephen Coan on ‘The Great Escape: The South African connection’. Visitors are welcome to attend.
