THE Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) needs public assistance in bringing to justice the rapist of a 15-year-old girl.
While she was walking along Cunningham Road in Umbilo on Sunday, 26 July, a white VW Polo stopped next to the young girl. She alleges the driver pointed a gun at her and ordered her to get in the car after which he drove to a nearby park and raped her.
Police believe the man in the identikit will be able to assist them in their investigation. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with jeans and a white hat and is described as short with a slender build. He is believed to be aged from 25 to 35-years-old and has a dark complexion.
Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts should call Brighton Beach FCS Constable Mlaba on 031-333-8224 or 078-231-6543 or the anonymous Crime Stop hotline on 08600-10111.
