FRIDGE thieves were frozen in their tracks by Montclair SAPS officers on Thursday, 1 October.
After stealing the fridges from a truck in Umbilo, the thieves made the mistake of heading the way of alerted Montclair SAPS officers.
The team of Warrant Officer Smolas, Constable Mtolo and Sergeants Kalijee and Wilkens headed off the thieves in South Coast Road.
The four men, who were transporting the stolen fridges in the back of a bakkie, were arrested and handed over to Umbilo SAPS.
“Management commends the members for being vigilant and for the speedy recovery and arrests,” said communications officer, W/O Poobalan Marimuthu.
