SEVERLY injured livestock had to be euthanased and three people were injured when a truck overturned on the M7 earlier today.
The truck, which was carrying goats and sheep, lost control and overturned on the M7 at the intersection with the N2. Rescue Care paramedics attended the scene where some of the animals were found roaming the busy road.
According to Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson, three people in the truck had moderate injuries and were stabilised by advanced life support paramedics and taken to hospital, while many of the animals had suffered very severe injuries and had to be euthanased by SPCA officials.
