Police puzzle over dead man’s identity
Police need help identifying man found dead on the weekend.

THE identity of the man who was found dead on a South Durban beach on the weekend remains unknown as Wentworth SAPS appeal for information.
The man, who was seen by fishermen floating in the water at Cuttings Beach on Saturday, 14 November, is believed to be about 24-years-old.
He had multiple head injuries and his body was taken to the Gale Street Mortuary.
Wentworth SAPS officers received a report from local fishermen of a body floating in the ocean. When they arrived at the beach, they found the man had been pulled to shore by beachgoers.
According to Wentworth SAPS communications officer Lieutenant M Gumede, detectives are investigating the incident but need the public’s assistance.
“The police appeal to anyone who may have lost friends or family to come forward and report to them immediately,” said Lt Gumede.
