BRIGHTON Beach SAPS celebrated Heritage Month in style, with food, fun and traditional wear on Heritage Day, Friday, 23 September.

“Members from various cultural groups within the Brighton Beach station partook in a programme which consisted of cultural dances, songs and reading of poems,” said media officer, Captain Louise Le Roux.
A bring and share lunch consisting of dishes representing multiple cultures was enjoyed while all were dressed in their cultural finery.

“The aim of the day’s activities was for members to engage with each other and create awareness and understanding of each other’s cultures in an informal environment.”
Capt Le Roux was thanked for initiating and co-ordinating the project.
