Minimum requirements to pass your National Senior Certificate

With matric examinations looming, matric learners need to achieve specific results to obtain their national senior certificate.

IT is officially 12 days until matric learners across the country will sit for their final examinations. In order to obtain their National Senior Certificate, learners must achieve a specific set of results.

Minimum requirements

Out of the seven subjects that you write, learners require the following:

  • Home language: Must achieve at least 40%.
  • Two other subjects: Must achieve at least 40%.
  • Three other subjects: Must achieve at least 30%.
  • Sixth subject: Must achieve at least a 20% sub minimum.
  • Life orientation: Must be completed and passed
