YWPWI members assess whether they’re introverts or extroverts

Floral: First Marsha Hart, second Wendy Henderson.

YELLOWWOOD Park Women’s Institute president, Sharon Quail opened the meeting by welcoming all members and visitors.

The Mary Stewart Collect was said, with members’ thoughts once again turning to Dot and Noleen.

It is hoped they get well soon. Sharon thanked each and every one for their assistance at the successful birthday party and mentioned that Alida had made a DVD of many of the photos at the event.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and there was no correspondence. The treasurer was happy to report that YWPWI made a profit at the birthday party so finances were all square. Birthday members of the month were Robyn Murray, Wendy Henderson and Wendy van Eyk – they are wished a great day. Then it was time for guest speaker, the popular Colin Vermaak, to provide his amazing and enlightening talk on the difference between introvert and extrovert people and members had to decide where they placed themselves – often to the disagreement of other members. Thank you Colin.

Sharon then read out duties for next month and the volunteers for Botanic Gardens duty. After a delicious tea, it was time for judge Linda Melson to report on her visit to Congress which was very successful. She also received her 30 year badge for judging.

YWPWI’s charity next month will be for animals. The raffles were called and then vice president Robyn Murray gave the competition results. The meeting closed with the WI prayer and a message from the president to go well, go safe and take care.
