16 hurt as taxi, bus collide

Injured passengers were transported to various hospitals

Sixteen people were injured when a taxi collided with a bus on South Coast Road near the N2 Umlazi turn-off just before 8am today, Friday, October 21

Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside various emergency services at the scene, with Netcare911’s rescue unit and Durban fire personnel extricating the injured front passenger from the taxi’s mangled wreckage.

Once freed, the man was stabilised and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care. The other injured passengers were also transported to various hospitals.
