A NIGHT of drinking ended in a stabbing on Monday, 11 June at SJ Smith Hostel.
At about 5pm a group of friends were drinking at the hostel when one of them decided to take a sip of his friend’s beer.

This upset the beer owner, who began shouting at the man. A fracas followed, in which a broken beer bottle was used to stab one man in the head.
He was rushed to hospital where he was treated.
No arrests have been made.
