Police seize hydroponic dagga valued at R60,000 from Durban suburbs

Three more men were arrested

HYDROPONIC dagga to the value of R61,000 was seized on Thursday night, 12 July on the Bluff and Umbilo.
The provincial police media desk said police officers focused on drugs and illegal firearms received and responded to information about drugs on the Bluff.

They proceeded to Worthling Avenue where they spotted a gold Etios with two male occupants. When they stopped and searched the men, they found 100 grams of hydroponic dagga. On further investigation, they proceeded to Sphiwe Zuma Avenue in Umbilo.

Three more men were arrested when they were found in possession of 308,9 grams of hydroponic dagga. The combined estimated street value of the drugs seized was about R61,000. All five men were charged and will appear in Durban Magistrates Court.
