COMPETITION: Pen a poem about Mom and WIN
Entries close at midnight on 12 May
Ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday, 12 May, the Southlands Sun wants to hear from our wordsmiths their sentimental Love for Mothers. The winning poem will be published in the Southlands Sun edition dated 14 May.
The prizes to be won for first place is an Alfresco Cafe prize consisting of a breakfast voucher for two (English Breakfast & cappuccino). The second place prize is a paint set to the value of R200 from Xrazi Arts and the third place prize is a lunch voucher for two from Flame’ous consisting of 1/4 chicken, chips and a garlic roll.

Competition rules:
1. Submit your poem of no more than 14 lines, ensuring that the work is your own original creative effort and is not plagiarised.
2. A panel will make a collective decision in adjudicating the winners. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
3. Entries close at midnight on 12 May.
4. Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
