New secretary elected at Woodlands AGM

The club’s AGM took place on Saturday, 5 October.

The any pairs competition was played at Woodlands Bowling Club on Wednesday, 2 October.

Overall winners were Kurt and Dawn Spack and second session winners were Doug and Elize Porter. Arnie snapped the R40 money board with Dawn Spack taking the dregs of R20.

Phil Hill won the roast chicken, rolls, fresh fruit juice and chocolate, thanks to Yellowwood Park Spar for their sponsorship.

On Thursday, 3 October, the casual 4’s competition was played with Anthony Patrick, Joe Harry, Debbie Patrick and Devi Harry the overall winners on 4+27.

Second session winners on 2+14 were Aroo Mudaly, Dan Moodley, Gary Naidoo and Sheila Moodley and first session winners were Cad Wilson, Dave le Roux, Phil Hill and Russell Fuller on 2+17.

Thanks to Lindi Samuels from Steadfast Insurance for sponsoring the money prices. Mariette de Kock and Arnie Harper won the R40 money boards and Dave le Roux and Arnie Harper won the R20.

Gwen Tait won the meat raffle. Thanks also go to Gwen Tait for the sponsorship of the bacon for breakfast.

The club’s AGM took place on Saturday, 5 October.

Linda Hewer remains president with Arnie Harper as vice president and Jason Hewer remains competition secretary.

Hanno Blom is the new secretary and Bill Hewer remains the treasurer. Committee members are Norman Moore, Rina Harper and Gavin Conlon.

The president thanks everyone for standing and wishes them all a long and happy time on the committee.

Get well wishes go to Bill Hewer for his upcoming surgery.
