PICTURES: Day one of big school for Grade 1s
Fynnland Senior Primary School on the Bluff welcomed its first-ever Grade 1 class, making history in the school's 84 years of existence.
OVER a million learners nationally began their schooling careers in Grade 1 today.
Parents and teachers have had their hands full running around and ensuring that the day goes smoothly with stationery and other class essentials.
All learners in the three schools that the SUN visited in the area were settled and teaching and learning had already begun.
For Montclair Junior Primary School in Montclair and Durban South Primary School in Clairwood, things were back to normal while Fynnland Senior Primary School on the Bluff welcomed its first-ever Grade 1 class, making history in the school’s 84 years of existence.
The school will gradually add Grade 2 and 3 classes, in the next few years, to make it a traditional primary school.
