Realtors reach out to Bark Angel to make a ‘paw’some difference

The walk was one with real purpose as foster dogs of the local animal rescue group, Bark Angel, enjoyed the spotlight on Tara Road.

WAKEFIELDS Real Estate painted the Bluff area yellow with happy tails wagging during a 4km walk about on Friday, 28 August.

The walk was one with real purpose as foster dogs of the local animal rescue group, Bark Angel, enjoyed the spotlight on Tara Road. In addition to AMS Attorneys joining in on the fun with their best foot forward, they also donated five 25kg bags of dog food to the animal rescue group.

“The true aim of this community initiative was to create awareness of this very deserving charity founded by Debbie Moss, who has kept it alive for over 10 years. These dogs are either picked up from the side of the road – often in the saddest condition – and never reclaimed, or are simply dropped off at Bark Angel,” said Wakefields Bluff branch manager, Adele Bosman.

She added that for her team, this community outreach was no chore because they love it so much not just for putting Bark Angel out there – and hopefully encouraging people to foster these gorgeous dogs – but also, because they, themselves, are dog lovers.

“For the dogs at Bark Angel, they not only had a great outing, but who knows, perhaps somebody out there saw the Wakefields’ staff walking a Griffin or a Bobo, and decided that was the perfect pooch for them?” she added.
