Support organisation at weekend fundraiser

Enjoy a wors roll or koeksisters while your car gets washed at Friend's Car Wash every Saturday.

WENTWORTH Angels hosted a fundraiser at Friend’s Car Wash in Silvertree Road on Saturday, 27 February.

In an effort to pull in dwindling funds, proceeds will be used to keep the organisation afloat. In addition to a car wash at just R50 for a full house, wors rolls and koeksisters among other items were on sale.

“My aunt has been a huge blessing to the community. We are all so grateful for her. Whenever there’s a need that needs to be met, she’s on it. She’s on top of the ball all the time. She’s an amazing woman and a blessing to everybody she meets,” said Tracey Williams’ niece and volunteer, Leona Lewis.

“We would like to thank the owner of the car wash, Tobby Gaxbu for hosting us. Most importantly, thank you to my team for their dedication,” said Tracey.

The fundraiser will continue every Saturday and the organisation encourages the community to park take in this worthy cause. Donations in the form of boerewors, rolls, polystyrene fold-overs, serviettes and sauces.
