City schedules roadworks on Inkosi Albert Luthuli Freeway

Motorists are advised that from Sunday, 9 May to Thursday, 20 June, the work will be carried out.

THE Road Provisions Department will be carrying out essential maintenance on the Inkosi Albert Luthuli M4 Freeway at the bridge over Lansdowne Road.

Motorists are advised that from Sunday, 9 May to Thursday, 20 June, the work will be carried out. This includes repairs to expansion joints on the bridge.

“Traffic travelling in the northerly direction, towards the city will be interrupted as this will be reduced to two lanes for the duration of the maintenance period. The city appeals to the public to exercise caution and patience when travelling in the vicinity, and to use alternative routes if possible,” said spokesperson for eThekwini Municipality, Msawakhe Mayisela.
