Witnesses sought in Wentworth hit and run

A pedestrian was knocked over on the M4 northbound opposite Clairwood Logistic Park on Friday evening, 28 May. According to police, the pedestrian was declared deceased on the scene by paramedics.

“The deceased was an African male, about 30 years old with a slender build of 1.7m in height. He has short hair with a dark complexion and clean shaven. At the time of his death he was dressed in dark blue trousers and a light coloured shirt. He had a hessian bag, with the word ‘Durban’ written on it, in his possession. A case of culpable homicide is being investigated,” said Brighton Beach communications officer, Captain Louise Le Roux.

The lead detective is Warrant Officer Thompson who can be contacted on 031-451-6214.
