Bluff CPF election postponed

The CPF's executive forum unanimously agreed to postpone the meeting until further notice.

A meeting was held on Thursday, 17 June at 18:00 with Brighton Beach police, the CPF Main Forum Executive Committee and Community Safety to finalise the planning for the CPF Main Forum Election.

The group unanimously agreed to postpone the meeting until further notice due to the latest Covid-19 level three restrictions.

Chairman of the CPF, Andy Rossell thanked everyone who communicated with and supported him in the build-up to the election.

“The Bluff CPF will continue to patrol with SAPS, Metro and our security companies during this period,” he said.

Brighton Beach police station commander, Colonel Cynthia Ngubane confirmed the postponement.

“With reference to the public announcement on Monday, 15 June made by President Cyril Ramaphosa for the enforcement of stricter regulations to curb the surge in rising Covid-19 cases, SAPS Brighton Beach herewith regrettably announces the postponement of the planned AGM which was scheduled for Saturday, 19 June until further notice,” she said.
