City avails opportunities to poultry egg producers

THE Cottonlands Egg Hub in Verulam is nearing completion and the city calls on egg producers to register their businesses.
To access market opportunities, register on the Agri-Business database before Friday, 16 July.
The Cottonlands Egg Hub is a private-public partnership set to benefit local egg producers with market access through contract growing opportunities.
The project will produce 5 000 eggs per day during phase one and will soon expand to 80 000 eggs daily. To register, send the following details:
• Name and surname
• Email address
• Name of the enterprise, registration number and years in operation
• Indicate number of eggs produced daily
• Size of egg
• Ward number and name of area or region

The municipality’s Agri-Business Department will host regional roadshows after finalising the database to explain the project to egg producers.
