The Bluff teen, 16, has embarked on an outreach project as part of her school’s, Port Natal Skool, community projects.
She is also a volunteer for Help4Souls, a community-based organisation aimed at raising funds and donating food. As the administrator for the Bluff, she is calling for the community to assist her in building a strong support base that will assist towards the cause. “We are planning to make parcels for local old age homes. We would like to make and hand out as many as we can. We are still in need of hair combs (11), Body cream (20), scrubbing brushes (22), shaving blades (20) and earbuds (20),” said Charné who hopes to one day become a social worker after school.
