LETTER: Bluff had high rainfall in 2021
Resident Duncan du Bois shares his recordings of the rain over the past year.

EDITOR – According to records kept by myself as a Bluff resident, the total rainfall I’ve recorded at home in the Grosvenor area in 2021 was 1.253 mm or 50 inches.
The average for Durban is 1.040mm. The driest period of 2021 was from June 6 to August 1 when no rainfall was recorded.
The month by month rainfall was:
January – 182mm
February – 127mm
March – 84mm
April – 93mm
May – 32mm
June – 90mm
July – 0
August – 32mm
September – 163mm
October – 184mm
November – 105mm
December – 161mm
