THE entertainment industry is not an easy industry to get into however, Samkelo Nkosi (IllSam), 26, makes it look like a breeze.
Inanda-born IllSam, who currently resides in Fynnland, is a South African musician, influencer, content producer, and presenter.
He started his musical voyage in 2009 entertaining in small events around Inanda, he later joined a group called Toon Clique.

IllSam has paid his dues by performing in universities, and opening for artists such as A-Reece and Okmalumkoolkat.
He released his latest single, Shukela meaning sugar, in 2021. On the digital platforms and it has been making waves.
In 2017 IllSam messaged Converse on Instagram, asking for collaboration with them and in 2022 they sponsored him.
“My biggest highlight was landing the Converse sponsorship. It has been my favourite clothing brand since I started music. I once sent a message in 2017 on Instagram asking them to collaborate or sponsor me. They said I should chase it and years later I am officially sponsored by them. Dreams do come true,” he stated with excitement.
He said he is not stopping there and intends ongoing international.
“I see myself conquering Africa as an independent established multifaceted artist with expertise/experience in music, acting, presenting, and fashion. I believe it’s going to happen, watch the space,” said IllSam.
