Dawn Solomon, chairperson of the Arcadia Retirement Village’s entertainment committee, said that she hopes to bring new life into the hall.

“Our Community Hall has been at the heart of Arcadia for years, but it’s looking a little tired. We’re giving it a much-needed facelift and creating a beautiful new reading room for our residents,” she said.

Items in need

The committee is appealing to the community to help do the final touches on the halls renovations.

  • Artificial plants
  • Teal paint
  • Room divider

Solomon said they are also accepting monetary donations as well. “Every little contribution will help us make these spaces fresh, welcoming and something our residents can be proud of. This is our home, let’s make it feel like one,” she said.
