THE Wentworth Bowling Club hosted the Bluff Seniors Club for their annual Fun Day of bowls recently.

The event was a resounding success, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and great sportsmanship enjoyed by all who participated.

According to Wentworth Bowling Club treasurer Jody Fabre, the highlight of the day was an exciting six-end mini tournament.

Supported under the guidance and supervision of dedicated club members who volunteered their time, the seniors took to the greens with enthusiasm.

For many of the participants, who were non-seasoned bowlers, this was their first time picking up a bowl and attempting the game. The friendly competition concluded with prizes awarded to the first and second place teams.

“At Wentworth Bowling Club, giving back to the local community is always at the heart of what we do. Hosting events like this is just one of the many ways the club strives to support local groups and foster strong community connections,” said Fabre.

He added, “Lawn bowls is a fantastic sport that can be enjoyed by young and old alike. Whether you are looking for a fun new hobby, gentle exercise, or a great social atmosphere, everyone is welcome to visit Wentworth Bowling Club and give the sport a try.”
