Bluff murder: Suspect turns himself in to Durban Central Police

The KZN Department of Education has confirmed it was notified of the incident and stated that it will allow the police to conduct their investigation without interference.

A MAN accused of killing his partner at a local primary school on The Bluff is due to appear at the Durban Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, facing charges of murder. This comes after the suspect reportedly handed himself over to the Durban Central Police yesterday.

Police spokesperson for eThekwini District Captain Carmen Rhynes confirmed that the suspect handed himself to the Durban Central Police.

The KZN Department of Education said the matter was reported to the office of the MEC, Sipho Hlomuka.

Departmental spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi said, “We can confirm the department was alerted of the incident. We will give space to the police to do their work so that we do not interfere with their investigation.”

According to the information received from the police, the victim (35) returned to their house on Hollesley Road with her boyfriend after an evening out for drinks.

This tragic event has shocked the local community, and law enforcement officials are working diligently to resolve the case and ensure justice for the victim.

Residents expressed their anger on social media platforms, calling for justice for the murder victim.

It is alleged that a violent altercation ensued between the couple, culminating in the boyfriend assaulting the woman to death.
