WATCH: Fire blazes through Montclair house

A fire broke out at a Montclair home earlier today (July 14). Emergency services rushed to the scene and tamed the flames.

A FIRE blazed through a home in Glen Road, Montclair, earlier today (July 14), hardly a week after reports of a house fire in Wentworth on July 8.

Captain Cheryl Pillay, Montclair Police spokesperson, confirmed that officers were dispatched to the location after a complaint was received.

“The Montclair Police had responded to a complaint of fire on Glen Road, Montclair. The fire department, who were on the scene, extinguished the fire. There were no injuries reported on the scene,” said Pillay.

The swift response of the fire department helped to contain the fire before it could engulf surrounding buildings. The cause of the fire will be investigated by the fire department.
