Garrith Jamieson, ALS Paramedics spokesperson, said they responded to multiple distress calls for medical assistance shortly after midnight. Upon arrival, the paramedics were met by members of the police.

“It is alleged that a domestic dispute occurred and a female in her late forties had been stabbed multiple times leaving her fatally injured. Paramedics found a male also in his forties with multiple stab wounds to his body. He was in a serious condition and ALS Paramedics worked to stabilise him on scene before he was transported under police guard to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required,” said Jamieson.

The situation surrounding the incident is unknown, but the Montclair police will be investigating.
