Wentworth youth face firearm charges
The first suspect was found with 200 pieces of rock cocaine while the other was found with 100 capsules of heroin.
TWO youngsters charged for possession of unlicensed firearms are expected to appear at the Durban Magistrate’s Court soon.
The pair aged 18 and 19 was arrested at Croton Road flats in Wentworth during a recent joint operation between the Metro Street Crime Unit and Wentworth Crime Prevention Unit.
A source said the suspects were also found in possession of drugs. The first suspect was found with 200 pieces of rock cocaine while the other was found with 100 capsules of heroin.

“The second suspect was on bail for another case of possession of an unlicensed firearm. During their court appearance the police will be opposing bail,” the source said.
On March 20, Metro Police Street Crime Unit and Wentworth Crime Prevention arrested a 31-year-old woman who was found with a large quantity of cough syrups and rohypnol.
According to the police these medicines, with an estimated street value of R52 000, are sold to teenagers and young adults. The suspect appeared in court on March 23.
