Enhancing public service: Inquiry desk opens at Wentworth police station
The new inquiry desk will improve services at Wentworth police station as the management aims to continue to strive for excellence.
THE management of SAPS Wentworth police station has introduced an inquiry desk outside the community service centre.
The inquiry desk will assist the public with various enquiries including document certification, commissioning of official documents, affidavits and related services.

This initiative has been introduced to reduce the number of residents waiting a long time to be attended to. This will also give the victims of sensitive crimes an opportunity to report their cases in privacy, and receive appropriate attention.
Police spokesperson in Wentworth, Captain Mbuso Gumede, said in addition to the inquiry desk, a GBV room is open at the station.
“The GBV cases and statements are taken by trained police officers. The management of the Wentworth police station will continue to strive in allowing members of the public an easy access to police services. We welcome any input from the public to help improve service delivery in the Merewent precinct,” said Gumede.
