Man gunned down in his car in Montclair

A man has been shot and killed after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds outside a well known food outlet in Montclair.

A MAN, believed to be in his forties, was shot and killed in the parking lot of a well known food outlet in Montclair this afternoon (July 17).

Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, said when they arrived on scene they found the man still in the vehicle which was ridden with bullet holes.

“Paramedics assessed the man who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The man succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on the scene,” said Jamieson. 

The Montclair police officers cordoned off the area to initiate a thorough investigation.

At this stage the events leading up to the fatal shooting are unknown.

The community is urged to stay clear of the area.
