Watch: 12 injured in early morning bus, taxi collision

The bus and taxi were travelling on Sarnia Road in Rossburgh when they collided.

TWELVE people were injured after a bus and taxi collided on Sarnia Road, in Rossburgh this morning (August 5).

Garrith Jamieson of ALS Paramedics reported that emergency services found total carnage after a bus and a fully laden taxi had collided.

“Paramedics quickly set up a triage system and immediately called for more ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics to assist with the multiple casualty scene,” said Jamieson.

The injured passengers sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe.

“They were stabilised before being transported to various Durban hospitals.

“At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown, however the police were on the scene and will be investigating further,” he added.
