Delectable foods and fine tunes, The Durban Street Food Festival is back

The Durban Street Food Festival is returning for the 2025 edition of the highly anticipated event which promises to be better than before.

THE Durban Street Food Festival returns with a feast for the senses from September 5-7 at The Pavilion Shopping Centre. The festival, hosted by Uber Cool Events, features over 70 food, craft and lifestyle stalls. Visitors will enjoy everything from hot African braais and scented Indian curries to Asian street food and hand-made sweets. Besides the food, there is live music, cultural performances, children’s activities, interactive workshops and a vibrant beverage garden.

Georgios Kretsos, festival director, said that at the heart of the event, it’s more than just food.

“This festival is about more than great food. It’s about community, culture, and celebrating the vibrant spirit of Durban. We want people to come hungry, leave happy, and take-home unforgettable memories,” said Kretsos.

One of the festival entertainment highlights is Boltman, who will take the stage on Sunday at 14:00. The singer has been crushing the charts with his new single Think About It currently occupying third place on the East Coast Radio Top 40. Boltman said that he is totally psyched to be back at the festival for the second time.

“I’m super excited to be back at the Durban Street Food Festival to perform some fine music for people while they enjoy all the delectable foods. I’m also looking forward to tasting some of the food myself,” said Boltman.
