Overcoming addiction: Vision for Hope helps reclaim lives

Narcotics Anonymous meetings are more than just a discussion; it is building a family who truly understands what you are going through.

WHEN drugs have taken control of your life and freedom feels far out of reach, Vision for Hope – Bluff Group of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) offers a place where hope can rise again. For countless individuals, NA has become a refuge, a place to find understanding, support and a new way to live.

The origin:

Founded in 1953, NA is a global, non-professional self-help organisation of men and women who once felt powerless over their drug use. The programme is built on the simple yet powerful principle of one addict helping another. Membership is open to anyone with a desire to stop using drugs, and participation is completely free.

At the heart of NA are its meetings, safe, confidential spaces where members share their experiences, strength and hope. What is shared in the room stays in the room. Beyond just talking about addiction, meetings offer community, belonging and accountability, essential tools for rebuilding a healthy and fulfilling life.

The Vision for Hope- Bluff Group of Narcotics Anonymous said the 12-step programme teaches members how to be drug-free and continue to support one another along the recovery journey. Attendees themselves usually state that it is more than a support group, it is a family that also shares the pain, the struggle and the triumph of overcoming addictions.

“If you are tired of living in active addiction, or if your days are filled with using or attempting to secure the means and methods of obtaining more, be certain you are not alone,” read a statement from Vision for Hope- Bluff Group for Narcotics Anonymous.
