One person injured in a bus and car crash in Wentworth

The driver of the car sustained injuries and was transported to hospital for further care after he collided with a bus on Tara Road.

A BUS crashed into a fence along Tara Road in Wentworth this morning (January 7), damaging the perimeter fencing surrounding a school. No learners were injured in the crash, however the driver of a car involved in the crash was transported to hospital.

The emergency services reacted immediately to the scene. Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, said that although the events leading up to the crash are unclear the incident involved a light motor vehicle and the bus.

“Only the driver of the light motor vehicle was hurt. We stabilised the patient who was taken to the hospital for further treatment,” he said.
