Watch: Seven injured in M4 taxi crash

Both vehicles were travelling on the M4 when a taxi allegedly overtook another car and moved into the next lane.

SEVERAL people have sustained injuries after a taxi and another vehicle collided head-on on the M4 near Quality Street.

According to the spokesperson for PT Alarms, Dhevan Govindasamy, the vehicles collided on the M4 Freeway Southbound when a taxi allegedly overtook another car, moved into the next lane and crashed into a second vehicle.

“A taxi and the second vehicle then crashed into barriers and came to rest down on Lansdowne Road. Seven people have sustained injuries and are being treated by the paramedics.

“The accident is affecting both southbound and northbound traffic,” said Govindasamy.
