VACANCY: REGISTERED PARA-VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL / NSPCA INSPECTOR CARLETONVILLE SPCA AND DISTRICT IS SEEKING DEDICATED AND COMPASSIONATE INDIVIDUALS TO JOIN OUR TEAM. WE CURRENTLY HAVE TWO (2) VACANCIES AVAILABLE FOR REGISTERED PARA- VETERINARY PROFESSIONALS OR QUALIFIED NSPCA INSPECTORS. Key Responsibilities
•Provide basic animal care.
•Administer prescribed medicines in accordance with applicable legislation.
•Perform wound care and treatment.
•Assist the supervising veterinarian or para- veterinary professional.
•Administer vaccinations and medication under veterinary supervision.
•Implement parasite control programmes.
•Provide primary animal health care within indigent communities.
•Perform duties authorised in terms of the Veterinary and Para- Veterinary Professions Act and other applicable legislation.
•Perform humane euthanasia where authorised. The employer will apply for the necessary extension of registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) on behalf of the successful candidate(s), where applicable. Minimum Requirements
•A recognised qualification as a Para-Veterinary Professional or a valid NSPCA Inspector`s Certificate.
•Current and active registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) (where applicable).
•A genuine passion for animal welfare.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•A valid endorsed driver`s licence.
