NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF A SOYA CRUSHING AND COOKING OIL MANUFACTURING FACILITY ON PORTION OF REMAINING EXTENT OF THE FARM MOOIFONTEIN 225 IQ, CITY OF JOHANNESBURG METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY, GAUTENG PROVINCE. Sustainability and Environmental Consultant has been appointed as the independent Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) by COSTAL TRADE INVESTMENTS (PTY) LTD, hereafter referred to as the Applicant to undertake the Basic Assessment (BA) process required in terms of the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998 (NEMA).
The applicant proposes establishment of a Soya crushing and cooking oil manufacturing facility on a portion of Remaining Extent of the Farm Mooifontein 225 IQ, city of Johannesburg metropolitan municipality, Gauteng province. The proposed property measures approximately 14.0472 hectare and proposed activity will only cover a development footprint of 11 hectares in extent. The site is located on the coordinates 26 13`46 50″S and 27 59`14 23″E
