Municipality does not levy rates on the on the first R100 000 of the market value of property assigned to the categories below- Residential, agriculture, commercial, industrial. Secondary rebate 1. Pensioner`s residents who wish to be granted with special rebate must come to finance section to take a form and make the application. General 1. The Municipality proposed to increase it rate by 3.0% in the 2026/2027. 2. Rates will be levied monthly 3. Rates payers who wish to pay annual must apply in written to the CFO 4. Unpaid rates outstanding by last day of each month will have the interest of 1.5% per month 5. Legal actions will be taken in all accounts which have the outstanding amount of more than 3 months Indigent support grant 1. Households were verified combined gross monthly income of all occupants over 18 years of age does not exceed two times the official state monthly old age pension, or such other amount as the Municipality may from time to time determine during the budget process.
