Skills PLC programming on Siemens S7 systems; knowledge of SCADA systems; knowledge of static and dynamic scales; knowledge of Siemens Variable Speed Drives; PC literacy; good analytical; technical investigations and fault finding. Behavioural Traits Good interpersonal skills; decision-making skills; ability to work within a team and independently; effectiveness under pressure SIMULATION ENGINEER JOB GRADE: DL YOUR OPPORTUNITY RBCT is looking for an experienced Simulation Engineer to ensure optimization and tactical performance analysis across the Terminal, management of the Terminal simulation system and data analytics by making interpretive process decisions formulating simulation-driven resource allocation strategies, creation of analytical systems to inform business of positive and negative challenges, and develop strategic counter measures. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements Bachelors or Honours degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science or Applied Mathematics; Minimum 5 years work experience in Advanced Analytics or Quantitative Engineering, designing dashboards and simulation; At least 5 years proven work experience analyzing material flows within heavy industries (e.g. mining, port terminals, bulk rail or heavy logistics); Clear understanding of physical asset-management frameworks, including equipment availability, reliability and maintenance scheduling; Formal certification in Continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt). Skills Advanced proficiency in industrial simulation environments (e.g. AnyLogic, Simio, FlexSim or Arena); Competency in Java, Python R or C++ alongside proficient SQL relational database querying; Advanced mastery of industrial statistics, queueing theory, probability modelling and data-fitting technologies; Proficiency in building operational reporting systems within corporate BI tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau).
