PACKHOUSE MANAGER – LOURENS, AGRI NOORD Mpumalanga Division: Komatipoort A vacancy exists in our farming organisation for an experienced Packhouse Manager with at least five years` experience in managing a mango and/or citrus packhouse. The successful candidate shall have:
•a valid degree or qualification in Agriculture and/or Horticulture;
•a proven track record of experience and accomplishments;
•proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and Paltrack)
•experience working with Compac sorting and sizing equipment/systems;
•knowledge of Global Gap accreditations and PPECB inspections;
•the ability to work with all levels of staff and apply sound business principles; and
•the ability to communicate fluently in Afrikaans and English and effectively in SiSwati and/or Shangaan. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•provide to applicable market specified quantity of product within prescribed specification, i.e. Grade, quality, cost etc.;
•ensure specified work area is maintained to applicable standards;
•design, develop, implement and maintain required information, statistics and communication systems;
•all applicable assets
•ensure effective application/utilisation and safe custody;
•equip himself with required skill, competence and knowledge (with specific reference to research and development) in order to achieve objectives; *` obtain timeously and utilise effectively all resources (including human resources) within prescribed limits and standards;
•constant application of his/her mind to innovation and evaluation (including report-back);
•display a passion for excellence and attention to detail;
•develop, implement and maintain all applicable standards including safety standards; and
•ensure that marketing action plans are agreed, implemented and carried out to ensure profit and growthof the Company.
