HR OFFICER – PHAKAMANI FOUNDATION Reporting to: HR & Training Manager Location: Phakamani Foundation Head Office Phakamani Foundation invites suitably qualified employees to apply for the position of HR Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll administration, monthly travel expense processing, employee records, leave and benefits administration, and general HR support. Essential: Practical, hands-on experience using VIP Classic Payroll. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to capture, check and process payroll accurately, maintain confidentiality and meet monthly deadlines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll & travel expenses
•Capture and process monthly payroll on VIP Classic Payroll, including commissions, overtime and deductions.
•Process travel expense claims, verifying calculations, documents and approvals.
•Prepare PAYE and UIF documentation and assist with the annual EMP501 reconciliation. Employee records *` Maintain accurate, confidential and audit-ready employee files.
•Prepare contracts and HR documents, and record appointments, changes and terminations. Leave & benefits
•Maintain leave records and advise on leave and benefits within policy.
•Handle provident fund, medical aid and pension queries and prepare exit documentation. Recruitment & policy
•Assist with recruitment coordination and screening.
•Support the review and distribution of HR policies and wellness initiatives. General HR support
•Be the first contact for HR queries and take minutes at disciplinary enquiries.
•Provide administrative support to the HR & Training Manager. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•HR qualification at NQF Level 5 or 6.
•Two or more years` HR experience.
•Practical experience on VIP Classic Payroll.
•Sound knowledge of payroll and statutory requirements.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Advantageous: HR Diploma and three years` HR experience, including payroll. CRITICAL SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
